Recently, Rochdale Food Bank came into school to speak to our children (at assembly time) about the work that they do in the local area to support families and individuals who are in situations whereby the food bank relieves some of their daily pressures.
After the assembly, the children decided that they would like to support this worthy cause. The children had a non uniform day and the school council under the direction of Miss Mullane organised a collection in school. The response from our families was overwhelming and the food bank had to make two trips in order to collect all of the donations! The food bank later reported that we had donated 245 kilos of food.
Many thanks to all of our families for their donations and good luck to the food bank in continuing their excellent work in the local area.
