What a huge success! The children and staff have had an amazing time learning more about how to keep ourselves and others safe and well. As part of this week, all children have been trained in first aid and the children in KS2 (all 180 of them) have learned how to carry out CPR and use a defibrillator to save a life. Watch out for a local press release and a tweet on this subject as Hamer are going to be used as an example to encourage first aid training on this scale in other schools. Make sure you ask your child about what they have been doing this week, as we have had yoga classes going on, investigations into the amount of sugar in drinks, dental workshops and road safety sessions to name but a few.
