All staff use an agreed reward system to recognise and encourage good behaviour, as well as effort and attainment in all areas of school life. A positive attitude underpins all children’s learning and approach to life and it is something that is strongly encouraged.
Positive attitudes are promoted through weekly celebration assemblies, which provide a vehicle for praise and celebration of success. A child in each class is identified by staff on a weekly basis, for good attitude, effort or achievement in any area of school life. The children receive a certificate to take home and a badge to wear for the week. The names are also sent home in the weekly newsletter. Lunchtime supervisors also nominate one child from each class, who they have seen during each half term, demonstrating
good/ kind behaviour towards their peers. Children who are nominated are rewarded with a visit to Pizza Hut to have an all expenses paid lunch.
